Born as Breanne Elizabeth Dürenberger on October 9, 1987 [1], she shortened her name to "Breanne Düren" during college for performance purposes. As a child, Düren's parents put her in vocal lessons because she was always singing. She also took piano and dance lessons. She is known for her soft, high voice.
During college, a friend suggested that she would be perfect to work with Adam Young of Owl City. She sings "The Honey And The Bee", "The Saltwater Room"[2], and "Air Traffic", and played keyboard for Owl City on the All Things Bright and Beautiful Tour.
While on tour, Düren wrote what is now her new EP, "Sparks". It was released by her own record label, dürendüren records, on May 3, 2011. Songs include her first single "Gold Mine", recently released "No One Else", and "Daydreams". [3]
Rick Florino of artistdirect gave the EP "5/5 stars". [4]
Released in April, "Gold Mine"'s music video features dancing and choreography by Düren and the Apple Valley AVaires. It was directed by Brandon Boulay. [5] Duren has often stated that the song was about how she was "at a place in her life where she had many questions" and was "finding out a lot about herself". [6]
"No One Else"'s music video was released June 23, 2011, and was also directed by Brandon Boulay. [7] Duren has stated that the song was about being on the road but missing her loved ones at home.[8]
In 2008, Düren released a full-length, self-titled album, which is no longer available officially. It is still available via many free mp3 sites.[9]
